Arthur Buck: Can’t Make It Without You
Facebooktwitteryoutubeinstagram

Arthur Buck is not a guy. It is TWO guys: singer-songwriter Joseph Arthur and guitarist Peter Buck (of REM). They are two super-talented musical geniuses who have known each other for a long time.

“Arthur opened shows for R.E.M. in the early 2000s, while Buck has backed Arthur on numerous occasions, including for an elegiac, piano-led cover of Lou Reed’s “Walk On the Wild Side” on the Late Show with David Letterman in 2014.”

To make a long story, short…Joseph Arthur was playing at Buck’s music fest in Mexico called ‘Todos Santos Music Festival’. He left his Dobro behind. When he flew back down in fall, 2017 to get it he ran into Peter Buck. They got together and jammed several times.

The rest, as they say, is history. To hear them tell the story, the music just “started popping out”.

This album is the result of two musicians who have already had all the success in the world and just want to create true art. That is what helps make this album so beautiful.

The album is self-titled and available for download now (released in spring, 2018).

They are hitting the road in 2018 with stops in: Seattle (in September), then on to Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Athens (GA), Nashville, Philadelphia, DC, Chicago and more. You can c=check their full tour schedule HERE.
