CHLOE COLLINS is a country artist from Nashville. But there is something different about her music from many other artists. As soon as you hear the first beat you may say that she has that “pop-country” sound like a lot of the new mainstream artists.
\However, some fans have claimed that country music has strayed too far from its original roots and that it’s not “country music” anymore. We would say that statements like that are half true. Yes, the format has changed a lot from artists like Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, George Strait and even Garth Brooks. It’s very different.
So that is definitely true.
With that said, all formats of music change over time. Rock music is different from 60’s bands like Herman’s Hermits to 70’s bands like Led Zepplin to 80’s bands like Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers to 90’s bands like Pearl Jam. The same is true with pop music. There has been a consistent progression of the format from pop bands over the last several decades. It is inevitable.
Country music is not exempt from a constant evolution. It’s often said that rock music is about what happens on the weekend. Country music is about what happens Monday thru Friday. That remains true. So, while the sound of country music has changed, the subject of the music has not. Chloe Collins reflects that growth.
Her sound is current and new. But her lyrics remain true to the traditions of the format. And her vocals do not disappoint. Chloe Collins has a very high level of vocal talent, as tho she is a mashup of “Taylor Swift meets Carrie Underwood”.
Her music has been featured on major television productions like “The Vineyard” (ABC Family),“Nashville” and “Heartland”. Chloe Collins is on her way to international superstardom! This track was just released last month and it is available for download now.
