LONE WILD is an indie/alt rock band from Tulsa, Oklahoma.
It is a new, reinvented reincarnation of an earlier band. Going back to the very beginning, in 2012, a band known as “Aftermidnight” was formed.
When the project broke up a few years later, the founding members started some informal jams in area garages. No formal gigs. Just simple jamming. They brought in a couple other people. It worked.
(This is making a long story short).
They were originally known as “The Fairweather”. They spent a couple years writing, recording and touring. But in 2016 things took a bit of a turn. Tensions were building. Their prospective manager didn’t work out. Things were just not happening. They were down.
But down times are when most talented songwriters find the biggest inspiration. Pain and suffering make for great songs. So they took a time-out. They took some time to reflect and gain perspective. They did something that struggling songwriters have difficulty doing…They let the emotions and the pain take the lead and write the music. Many songwriters try “drive” the songs they write. They try to shape the course of the music.
It takes a lot of discipline and self-control to let go of control. That sounds strange, but it’s true. The end result? Better music. Deeper lyrics. And a sound that they can claim as their own.
In the darkness, they truly found the light. They have several songs available for download.
