MIKE FARRIS: Snap Your Fingers
by on September 12, 2018 in

Mike Farris is a gospel-fused Americana singer/songwriter with more soul than a rubber shoe factory! He’s the singing version of an old-time southern gospel preacher raging on about hell fire and brimstone. There is soooooo much emotion in his voice – A true gift for us all to enjoy!

He was the founding member of the 1990s band Screamin’ Cheetah Wheelies. He also served as the singer for Double Trouble (Stevie Ray Vaughan’s old rhythm section).

After some struggles with substance abuse, he embraced God and sobriety. Now, he lets his music do the preachin’!

We’re not the only ones who profess his talent. He’s won awards:

  • 2015 Grammy Winner for Best Roots/Gospel Album “Shine For All The People”
  • 2008 Americana Music Awards “Best new Artist”
  • 2010 Gospel Music Association Dove Award “Best Roots Gospel Album”

“Snap Your Fingers” is on his new album ‘Silver & Stone’ (released 9/7/18). It is available for download now.
