YARD OF BLONDES is an alternative French/California rock band. They started out as a French duet but relocated to the U.S. in 2010. They started releasing music one year later.
They started playing some of the most iconic venues in LA, like The Troubadour, Whisky A GoGo, The Viper Room, The Bootleg and others. They were getting noticed in the U.S. They were also making a name for themselves in France, as well.
In 2016 they were featured on a compilation album called “I Love You All The Time” along with Eagles Of Death Metal, Florence & The Machine, Kings Of Leon, JimmyEat World and others. Proceeds from that album went to the victims of the Paris attacks. They released their first original bilingual track this past summer.
Not only is this an amazing band, musically…But they are amazing visual artists as well. They do a lot of their own visual art. Bassist Fanny Hill and singer Vincent Jacob did the artwork using collage technique and acrylics.
Vincent created the fonts, himself, using his own handwriting. You can see examples of his work when you watch the band’s lyrics video for this song, as well as on their website and other visual materials.
They also have incredible instincts behind the scenes. Fanny and Vincent direct most of their own videos. Yard Of Blondes can (literally) do it all. From writing to producing to video directing to visual art.
They just finished their first full-length album. This is the first track from it, and it is available for download now.
