The Sea At Midnight is Los Angeles singer/songwriter Vince Grant produced by Chris King (Cold Showers, Kai Tak). Vince’s concern about the effects and consequences of climate change started to manifest itself in his songwriting and he subsequently released four tracks in 2024 addressing climate change.
His latest song, “Our Brilliant Destruction”, also deals with climate change and is slated for release in January. It will be included on his upcoming EP Burning, a compilation of all his songs about climate change scheduled for release in February.
One track, “Chopping Them Down”, “seems like a warm-soft ballad, but in terms of lyrics it is a sad introduction about, among other things, the feeling of the rainforest and environmental pollution.” (Luminous Dash)
Another, “Wait For Rain” was described lyrically as “tragic dystopian visions of socio-economic, and above all, human catastrophe, which looms inexorably.”
(WhiteLight/WhiteHeat) “Burning” drew praise as “a stellar soundscape-heavy rock success” (Obscure Sound). Now, “Our Brilliant Destruction” continues Grant’s knack for thematic poignancy and melodic rock spirit.
