Born in London now based in the USA, house aficionado jackLNDN has released his latest single, ‘Perfect’ on the 1st of April via Jack’s House. ‘Perfect’ follows the recently released single ‘Return’ which premiered via This Song Is Sick. The producer is celebrated around the world, having performed 2 North American Tours with Goldfish and with The Funk Hunters as well as appearing on stages in Canada, Europe, China, Japan, South Korea and beyond. Born and raised in London, UK, Jack Aisher currently lives in Lafayette, Colorado where he crafted remixes for legendary artists such as Emancipator, Lettuce and The Polish Ambassador. The producer developed a love for music at a young age, began piano lessons at age 7 and not long after went on to join one of the best choirs in the country which would lead to live performances for the Queen and her family in Windsor Castle. A little while later and jackLNDN would find himself captivated by the progressive world of electronic music, while still finding inspiration in the deep emotional intimacy of the more classic works of James Blake, Earth Wind & Fire and Frank Sinatra. His own sound maintains this depth while calling to mind modern contemporaries such as Rüfüs Du Sol, Ben Böhmer and either Yotto or Lane 8.
Light and melodic, ‘Perfect’ is filled with gentle grooves that just keep on giving. The cynical lyrics contrast against upbeat rhythmic tones that cycle between infectious and laidback, finding purchase in the void between. jackLNDN sets himself apart with this single, moving towards a more mature sound while keeping a clean production style.
The producer tells us about the meaning behind the single: “This song is about dating the perfect woman only for her to end up choosing someone else. The emotions that come from rejection and the helplessness of realizing that there’s nothing you can do. I tried to make the song musically & harmonically as beautiful as the person that inspired it. There’s a touch of melancholic self-pity in this record, but an underlying feeling of hope as even in rejection, the reminder that there are people out there for you can still be comforting.”
