Now this rising alt R&B powerhouse is set to release her infectious new single, ‘Lovers Sunday'(Friday May 26th). The first track from Melinas forthcoming debut album, and is a sensual chilled jam, that is an instant earworm.

On ‘Lovers Sunday’..

“Sunday for me has always been a day for love and reciprocity, of healing and rest. This track embodies all of those feelings for me. It’s sensual, dreamy, woozy.
Lovers Sunday tells a story of two twin flames meeting (maybe for the first time, maybe for the 100th) on the Saturday night before, and how they came to be together on Sunday. I wanted to embody the essence of female empowerment, it’s a story of a woman stepping into her power and sensuality, owning that control she has over the other person. Sunday will always be for the lovers ” – Melina Malone

Melina took a step away from performing in 2021 to work on her debut album, working diligently over the past year with acclaimed Irish producers Alex O’Keefe (LYRA, Jafaris, Fia Moon) and Adam Shanahan (Shiv, Bobbi Arlo, Nealo) to cultivate her sound and bring the vision to life.

Melina’s aim is to redefine the standard of Irish R&B with this record. Her debut LP is set for release in Autumn 2023.

Lovers Sunday was written by Melina Malone, produced by Alex O’Keefe, co-produced by Steven McCann, mixed by Adam Shanahan, and mastered by Richard Dowling
