Popes Of Chillitown “Crashmat”

Popes of Chillitown have released a brand-new music video ‘Crashmat’, taken from their forthcoming studio album ‘Take A Picture’.

The latest single is written from the brink and the stance that ‘only you can save yourself from your own demise’ but as a result ‘not wanting to ask for help because you don’t think you need it until it’s too late’, explains vocalist Matt Conner.

Initially emerging from the UK ska/punk scene, Popes quickly established themselves as keen to break conventions and incorporate wider influences into their sound. Impossible to tie down and with enough energy to power a small city, their songs drag you through punk, two-tone, rock, hip-hop, reggae, drum & bass, dub and metal.

Forthcoming fourth album ‘Take A Picture’ (out 30th June on Criminal Records), is a genre-denying melée of energetic, fiercely catchy and immersive songs, releasing on CD, Digital and 12” Splatter Vinyl.
