Trisha J “Reality’s A Bore”

Pune, India-based alternative/indie artist, Trisha J, is both a satirist and a romantic.

Influenced by iconic bands such as The Cure, The Velvet Underground, Sly and the Family Stone, Elvis Costello and the Attractions, and Tally Hall, Trisha J’s artistic expression weaves together the vibrant tones of vintage classics, effortlessly blending in touches of dark humor.

At just 16 years old, she released her debut single ‘Clueless’, a reflection on living in a perpetual state of obliviousness. This was followed by ‘No Money,’ a track that humorously explores her financial misadventures. These singles landed a feature in AAA magazine and XS10 Magazine, earning recognition from an international audience.

Growing up, she was a part of the church choir and frequently competed in school competitions. With an acoustic guitar for a birthday present, Trisha J sought inspiration from classics like The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, Simon & Garfunkel, and Cat Stevens. Even today, the razor-sharp wit of Ray Davies from The Kinks continues to influence her songwriting.

Currently studying global music at university, she continues experimenting with various musical sounds and is set to release her debut EP ‘Killer Times’ in 2024. The title track ‘Killer Times’ is already out with over 15K+ streams on Spotify, has been broadcasted on Songdew TV, and has been featured in Findie, Savaal Magazine, Octave Magazine, and LA Reviews among other web publications. This release is followed by ‘Reality’s A Bore’, a song that explores themes of fantasy, disillusionment, and the desire to break free from the mundane.
