Olive grew up on Long Island practicing the violin every day before school and was a voice major at boarding school in Michigan where she says she found her love for alternative music; listening to artists like Atmosphere, Santigold, and Kimbra. As a child, Olive wasn’t allowed to listen to anything but classical music and says “ my brain always goes to piano and violin first, it’s my factory setting”.
