“The Queen of Everything’ is about never letting love destroy you, and never ever judging a book by its cover.” – Tony West / BLACKLIST UNION
Hard rockers Blacklist Union are back in the studio working on their 5th CD, Letters from the Psych Ward’! Fans are guaranteed inspiration from this brand of street rock with songs like “Out on a Jones,” “Keys to the Kingdom,” and “Dirty Halo.” Gifted singer/songwriter Tony West spins a musical web, tackling subjects not often mentioned with heart wrenching honesty, and sometimes humor. Addiction, sex, friendship, child abuse, death, and living on the edge of destruction are just a fraction of what the band touches on in their music. Blacklist Union is a true rock n’ roll band that continuously pushes themselves to the limit in every aspect of their music and live performance.
Formed in 2004 by L.A. based front man Tony West, Blacklist Union released their debut “After the Mourning” in April of 2006, which was met by critical acclaim across the globe. From Memphis to Melbourne to Louisiana and London, Blacklist Union instantly made a mark throughout the rock n’ roll underground. Their follow-up in 2008 “Breakin’ Bread with the Devil,” with tracks including the title track, along with “Sixty-Five Steps Away” and “Wicked Love Song,” received the same amount of critical acclaim and put them on the map in the rock ‘n roll world yet again. The bands well received third full-length CD titled “Til Death Do Us Part” was released in 2012, and features tracks including “Alabama Slammer” and “Diggin’ 4 Gold.
Blacklist Union has toured nationally, receiving five-star reviews from music industry magazines, fanzines, and webzines, and has a growing fan base both domestically and internationally. Former Guns n’ Roses manager Doug Goldstein has said, “Back to Momo” is “The best record that he’s heard since “Appetite for Destruction,” and Tony West is “the hardest working front man he knows.” Hailed worldwide as the next big rock band, Blacklist Union is clearly on their way from the street to the elite.
