Horizon Theory “December”

HORIZON THEORY release their new single/video – “DECEMBER”

Together, the music Horizon Theory creates is a driving force that melds all the right components to cause an explosion of sound. Horizon Theory has now released their next single, “December”. From the moment of the song’s inception “December,” hits the intensity of pure vocal tones, driving guitars, bass lines, and the beat of the drums as it inhales a deep breath of headbanging pursuit. The listeners are hooked. This band, whether in the studio or live, brings their utmost to turn the music produced into its own unique delivery that holds its solidly marked place in rock music.

‘While writing “December”, I kind of had one thing in mind: at times, everyone gets to a point in their life where they just don’t know if they can go on anymore. We play this fictitious role that only we know isn’t true. We try to fulfill those things that people think we are supposed to do and be, and I had reached that point myself. It was time to start being myself – that’s when I really started to see who and what really mattered in my life.

Life sometimes takes odd turns.

I was beginning to unlock my own truth when I took seriously ill. Our band was due to head out on tour and there was no way I could go. We made a unanimous decision that the rest of the band was still going to do the tour.

During my time of being bedridden for a month, I didn’t listen to any music. When I say I was depressed, it’s an understatement. I was completely heartbroken. I didn’t know if I was going to get any better as the doctors tried, we couldn’t get any answers. It was a month later when I began to turn around; I started healing and getting stronger. Finally, it got to the point where I wanted to crank up some jams. Our song “December” was the first song I listened to. It was amazing. It took on a whole different meaning to me than when I had first written it. I was brought to tears. All of the words fit perfectly with what had just happened in my life over that past month. Lyrically, you would have thought that I wrote this song after the health scare. It really broke me down, but made me feel good at the same time. I knew that this song was something big, at least for me personally, as it’s the most meaningful song that I’ve been a part of to date. Hopefully, “December” will help our listeners as much as it did me, and they will love turning it up just as loud.’ – Josh Harrington
