Scottish band January Sixteen will follow up this year’s debut singles “Rats” and “Further Education” with their debut January Sixteen EP, releasing on August 18th.
Preceding the EP release is new single “End Of The Line,” a track influenced by years of Tory governments, the scandals, the cost of living crisis, the decimation of public services and the feeling of helplessness experienced by so many. But a reminder also that things can change.
January Sixteen EP is a 5 track release covering topics such as parenthood and letting your children make their own mistakes, addiction, questioning your life choices, anger at those supposed to lead us, but with a final upbeat message to embrace what you’ve learned and experienced in life and not to give up.
And finally, to celebrate the release of the EP, the band are hosting a launch show on Saturday, 19th August, at Audio in Glasgow, with special guests The Cult Of Free Love and Sarah Gallagher. Tickets here.
