Formed in the fall of 2014, Mascots emerged as a dynamic passion project among five friends hailing from the outskirts of Cincinnati, Ohio. Fusing infectious melodies, electrifying guitar riffs, and pop anthemic undertones, Mascots have crafted a diverse catalogue of musical endeavors. Their repertoire includes notable releases such as the 2017 EP “The Good In Me,” the 2017 duo “Time To Time,” and the 2018 offering “Butterfly Effect,” alongside their latest singles “Figure It Out” and “Twenty Two.” These recordings, skillfully produced by their close collaborator Seth Henderson at Always Be Genius Recording Studio, bear the hallmark of excellence seen in works by acclaimed bands like State Champs, Real Friends, and Knuckle Puck.

Navigating through the ebb and flow of the industry, marked by lineup shifts and the challenges of a global pandemic, Mascots have demonstrated resilience and perseverance in their pursuit of musical excellence. In 2024, the band finds itself at its most audacious and innovative, anchored by the talents of Jakob Fox, Robert Coyle, Alex Stewart, and Chase Nichols. Together, they have not only crafted a fresh sonic identity, drawing from a diverse array of influences and genres, but also set their sights on cementing their status as a cornerstone of their musical community.

Guitarist/vocalist Robert Coyle says, “Our last single, ‘Slipping in the Dark,’ released on 4/3 is about the acceptance of change. “Vertigo” is the natural evolution and next step in finding hope, and seeing glimpses of a future beyond the instant satisfaction we so often seek. A social commentary on quick fixes that we use to tear ourselves down. It is the discovering of new possibilities and finding support to regain a sense of purpose.
