Detail-oriented musician mïus released his new single, ‘Feather ft. Amme’, on the 21st of April via the label he founded, Théque Records. The intricate offering premiered on CLASH Magazine and follows his recently released song ‘Slow Burn’ ft. HALOSARA, which received early support from the Hungarian magazine Recorder.hu and is the second single shared from his upcoming 8-track album_,_ Abstrakt, which is slated for release across digital platforms and vinyl on the 2nd of June.
The artist’s music has been lauded by notable publications Mixmag UK, Faze Mag, DJ Mag Spain, Noisey Germany, FLUX Music and 6AM, among others and aired on BBC Radio 6 with Tom Ravenscroft, RadioEins, KCRW, Ibiza Global Radio, Ibiza Sonica, CJSW Radio. His work has been remixed by the likes of Brandt Brauer Frick, Vessels, and Robot Koch, helping him reach nearly 1 million streams on Spotify alone, where he charted on Spotify’s Top 50 in the UK and Germany.
‘Feather ft. Amme’ pulsates like a strobe light in a dark club. Glitch effects scatter, shedding metallic sparks that set the ever-progressing record ablaze, softened by the nurturing tones of songstress Amme’s airy voice.
mïus shares: “‘Feather’ has a very unique pulsation caused by its time signature. For this song, we combined the vibration of the techno music with an unusual 9/4 rhythm, which then flattens out to a classy four on the floor at the end. Amme’s playfully elaborated vocals twist and stretch around the interesting percussion like a kind of instrument.”
mïus is an audio/visual project by Gergely Álmos based in Budapest. Defined as a multi-art project wherein the different fields of self-expression meet each other, he will be showcasing his audio-visual show titled naked waves on tour later this year at select venues in Prague, Rome, and more to be announced.
Gergely Álmos is an architect in civil life and also works in movies as a set designer, which describes why he always pays attention to every small detail from songs to videos as everything is part of his self-expression and a result of a mature conception. mïus’ upcoming single is reminiscent of Moderat, Apparat, and DjRUM.
