Nathaniel Paul “We Can’t Keep Running Away”

A melodic charmer with warming bass and synth-laden illumination, “We Can’t Keep Running Away” is the latest single from Nathaniel Paul. The track comes via his upcoming album, Turpentine.
“I produced this song myself and played on the instruments in a closet outside Chicago, IL,” Nathaniel says. “I really wanted to make a full band sound with a synth pop overtone. I wanted something you could enjoy on a long ride with the windows down.”

During the writing of this song, I was spending a lot of time thinking about death. How it leaves a void in your life. So in retrospect, the mistakes that we make are really insignificant when it comes to this perspective. Just working it all out in the lyrics – or at least trying to.”
Nathaniel was born in Michigan City, IN. After moving to NYC, he and partner Jillian Speece have been on the road touring with his band, The Bergamot, which has been featured in outlets like Earmilk, People Magazine, LA on Lock, and Atwood Magazine. His musical background is in classical guitar. He writes and performs all of the elements of his productions.

The Bergamot is also releasing a full-length award-winning documentary, “State of the Unity” this fall.
