REGENT “She Checks My Head”

Set to start the new year off with a bang, Southampton-based rock’n’roll four-piece REGENT have released their new single “She Checks My Head”.

The track arrives as the second single taken from their new EP ‘Believe,’ due 10 February 2023.

A heady dose of riled-up rock complete with roaring riffs and booming vocals, “She Checks My Head” sees Regent further refine their riotous and rollicking sound.

Written “about the current state of the cost of living crisis and how it’s affecting everyone’s mental health”, the anarchic new cut strikes a deft balance between earworm anthem and calamitous call-to-arms.

With rugged guitar lines snaking through its centre and pounding drums keeping the pace, “She Checks My Head” follows earlier release “The Thunder” as the second single to be taken from the band’s forthcoming EP ‘Believe’.

Since releasing their debut single in 2019, Regent have notched a string of highly-charged releases in their belts, amassed a cult-following across the UK, and forged a reputation as one of Southampton’s finest emerging acts. Gearing up to release their new EP in February, the band are ready to further cement themselves as firm ones to watch and pioneers of their own insurgent brand of modern day rock’n’roll.

Having attracted praise from the likes of Louder Than War, Earmilk and Gigslutz and more, the band have also gained radio play from Radio X, Frank Skinner on Absolute Radio, Amazing Radio and BBC Introducing as well as RTE2 in Ireland and SiriusXM in the US.

The group’s merciless sound has also attracted attention across TV and sport, with previous releases receiving airplay on Soccer AM, Sky Sports Darts, the PremierLeague, BBC Six Nations Rugby and most recently BBC One’s Match of the Day.

With their debut LP ‘Just A Revolution’ released in 2022 and more new music on the horizon for 2023, Regent’s trajectory is only on the up as they prepare to thunder into the new year.
