This is not the first time Los Angeles, California-based Starless’ voice has made waves. Many might recognize this emerging singer-songwriter’s voice from her real name. Brianna Knickerbocker first shined a light in the entertainment world as a well known Anime and Videogame voice actor, with popular projects like Demon Slayer, Genshin Impact, Fire Emblem Heroes, and Re:Zero.
Her talents were rewarded in 2015 with the Staff Choice Award & People’s Choice Award for Breakthrough Voice Actress of the Year, 4th Annual BTVA Anime Dub Awards. Now, Starless is set to release multiple singles, including “Going Down.” Starless states, “‘Going Down’ is a song about that push and pull in a trauma response where you push someone away just to see if they’ll leave, but you really want them to stay. In the song it’s reflected through the analogy of getting too drunk during a night out with your partner, with lowered inhibitions.”
