Mari Dangerfield “Ruins”

Presenting the second single from Mari Dangerfield’s forthcoming “Eco-Fever” EP, which sees the young electro-pop singer-songwriter explore the anxieties and feelings of helplessness created by climate crisis.

Hailing from Ealing, West London, Mari is a multi-talented and colourful producer, writer and musician with a knack for fragile songs bursting with originality. Music is Mari’s way of trying to make sense of life and her productions are characterized by rich vocal harmonies, catchy hooks and cinematic arrangements.

‘Ruins’ uses melting ice caps and a collapsing building (much like one would find in flooding or fire situations, aggravated by climate change) as metaphors for a failing relationship.

Mari explains…”Looking after our planet and the animals on it has been important to me my entire life. While the climate crisis is a much more complex issue than can be covered in a few songs, and I don’t believe endless preaching is the way to go, I hope that the EP might get some people thinking about the world and their place in it in a new way”.
