Pet Needs feat. Bridget “The Argument”

A fiery and furious back-and-forth that sees PET NEEDS joined by collaborator Bridget, “The Argument” is a highly charged track about a relationship spiralling out of control. Brimming with the band’s usual brand of frenzied alt-rock and zany humour, frontman Johnny explains:

“After playing a show with Bridget and hearing that incredible scream, I went home and wrote a furious, vicious 90 second break-up song. Imagine a scene from a Shakespearean tragedy if it was set in the Queen Vic. Purely fictitious, of course!”

Accompanied by a playful official video that sees Johnny and Bridget on a dinner-date gone horribly wrong, he adds:

“We dusted off our best am-dram skills to shoot a video with Jonathan Dadds at the gorgeous Colchester Arts Centre.”

“The Argument” is taken from PET NEEDS’ showstopping second album ‘Primetime Entertainment’, out now via Xtra Mile Recordings. Produced by touring mate and punk icon Frank Turner, the album also features singles “Lost Again”, “Fear For The Whole Damn World” and “Get On The Roof”.

Written and recorded in just 11 months after signing with Xtra Mile Recordings for their acclaimed debut ‘Fractured Party Music’, the band’s latest offering is a discernibly more personal effort than its party-primed predecessor. Dealing with feelings of fear, fatigue, adrenaline, failing and determination,‘Primetime Entertainment’ proved to be a record of profound psychological and musical discovery for PET NEEDS that produced a transfixing listening experience. Proudly dubbed by the band as “our ‘London Calling’”, the new album attracted warm reviews with NARC Magazine praising it as a record of “joyous experimentation”

Following an extensive UK, US and European tour supporting Frank Turner last year, Pet Needs recently completed their own headline UK tour including a string of dates for Independent Venue Week. Tickets for the dates flew with many dates sold out, and the band added extra fixtures due to extraordinary demand.
